Reciprocal Borrowing
Policy
Students or faculty members who wish to use the reciprocal borrowing program must have a signed copy of the University of Pittsburgh's Reciprocal Borrowing form (available at the U. Grant Miller Library User Services Desk) and a W&J ID card on hand in order to receive the special borrowing card from the University of Pittsburgh. You can process your request for a card at the Hillman Library during normal business hours. To find out what normal business hours are and to make sure someone will be there to process your card request, please call their circulation desk at (412)648-3330.
Under our reciprocal borrowing agreement with the University of Pittsburgh students and faculty of W&J College will receive a special borrowing card that will have the following privileges:
| Status | Loan | Number of Items Allowed | Renewals | Validation of Card |
| Undergrad. | 2 weeks | three (3) | one (1) | one (1) semester |
| Faculty | 2 weeks | ten (10) | one (1) | one (1) academic year |
You may borrow materials from the Hillman Library at anytime during their open hours.
Returning materials
The U. Grant Miller Library agrees to return any borrowed items to the University of Pittsburgh as a service for our patrons with the understanding that our patrons will return the borrowed items to the U. Grant Miller Library 2-3 days before the items are due. This will give the U. Grant Miller Library sufficient time to process the items back to the University of Pittsburgh without overdue fines accruing for our patrons. Charges for overdue or lost items are the responsibility of the patron.
